Fremont Lions Club Members
participated in the Clean-Up phase of our The Adopt-a-Stream
program on Friday, April 21st. Members of the club teamed up with
Lion Wally Ewing's Quest High School Science Students to clean up Daisy
Brook (stream), and thereafter enjoy a hotdog cookout. This final
event came after a week of field labs and stream studies conducted by
the students and professionals from the Newaygo Conservation District.
This is the third year that students from Fremont Public Schools
have joined the Lions to monitor and clean the stream and new
"stream-side park" south of Oak St., along Lake Drive.
This program is supported in part by the Fremont Area Community
Foundation.
